UPDATE: Suspect in Mall Theft Arrested and You’ll Never Guess What He Does for a Living
An update to a story we brought you earlier this week.
A 34--year-old Massachusetts man turned himself into authorities yesterday (Wednesday, September 19, 2018) after police say he was caught on cell phone video allegedly using a toddler to help him steal from a 'Key Master' game machine inside the Mall at Rockingham Park late last week.
The Salem New Hampshire Police Department says Anthony Helinski was booked on several charges including endangering the welfare of a minor. Helinski is a teacher at Doherty Middle School in Andover, Mass.
Andover Public School officials say Helinski has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation. He is expected back on court on October 29th.
As you can see from the below video that was released by Salem New Hampshire police, it appears the toddler is inside the game retrieving the boxes, while another older child stands next to Helinski observing the entire process. Authorities say they received numerous tips after releasing the video to the public.
