Warm Up By The Hot Stove

As a life long New Englander, I grew up following the fates and fortunes of the Red Sox and always will. The team was hapless in my youth. Today, I remind everyone how lucky we are to now have three World Series victories in the past 9 years.  Plus we have two baseball folk heroes to celebrate, Terry "Tito" Francona and John Farrell. John Farrell won the World Series in his first year as Manager of the Red Sox, repeating what Terry Francona did in 2004. Better yet it was the whole "worst to first" thing.  Tito won American League Manager of the Year yesterday for just getting Cleveland into the playoffs. Those guys will forever be legendary around here but you've got to wonder. Let the off-season begin!
