Watch This Video: Another Great White Shark Helping Himself To Dinner Thanks To A Fisherman
It's been over three decades since the Steven Spielberg classic, Jaws was released in theaters. But this summer certainly feels like the Summer of the Great White Shark.
It was just a few weeks ago when a fishing party turned into a tug-of-war between a farmer from the mid-west and a great white. In that instance, the fisherman was able to pull his catch from the mouth of the shark, and keep his dinner.
However, according to WMUR-TV, that wasn't the case earlier this week. Tabatha Eldridge and her 14-year-old son Timmy were fishing for striper in Chatham, MA. As Timmy was reeling in a fish, a great white shark grabbed a hold of it right beside their boat...and pulled it off the hook.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy posted the video provided by Tabatha. And perhaps she was thinking of the iconic scene from Jaws when she told WMTW she was happy the family was on their bigger boat as opposed to the smaller one.
