The 1956 Lockheed Constellation (with wings removed) was loaded on to a flatbed trailer for the trip from the Auburn-Lewiston airport to JFK in New York.

The trip is expected to take a while, since they are moving at only 15 miles per hour and have to stop in the event of bad weather.

Once at JFK, the plane will become a cocktail lounge outside the TWA Hotel, which is promising to bring back "The Magic of the Jet Age".
