Locals Would Lose Their Minds if These Iconic 11 New Hampshire Restaurants Closed
We have seen so many restaurants in New Hampshire close in the recent past. Places like Harvey's Bakery and Restaurant in Dover, Portsmouth Book & Bar, Thompson's Tavern, just to name a few.
It got us thinking about the places that we would freak out over if they too, decided to close. These restaurants have become part of our lives, our birthday celebrations, truly the good time and bad times have been had through the doors of these places. They can never, ever close.

These NH Restaurants Have Been Around Forever
There are places that have been around forever, like Brown's Lobster Pound. I can't imagine a world without out it. Every year, I'll bring a brown paper bag filled with beverages, (they have changed over the years) to Brown's, pick out my lobster and sit at a picnic table filled with sunshine and happiness.
Then there's Surf in Portsmouth. Never have I ever tasted sushi as delicious as the Veggie Umami sushi. They also make a scallop dish that is mind blowing. I don't know what the ingredients are, but man of GOD, it's good. If I had a craving and they were closed forever? I don't even want to think about it.
This NH Restaurant Will Never Close
It's a pretty good bet that the Puritan Backroom in Manchester, NH will never close. It's an institution.
Not only do they have the best chicken fingers around, but their mudslides are LEGENDARY. Back in the day, I could drink at least two of those bad-boys, but not today. Today, I'll have you order one and I'll take sips here and there.
The Puritan will never close. It's much like the Red Arrow Diner (not on this list, but it should be) in that it's the place to go if you are a politician running for office, you have to stop there. As a matter of fact, a politician, Chris Pappas, is the co-owner of the Puritan.
Check out the other restaurants here in NH that we would be so sad if they closed. Also, let me know who I left out.
