A New Englander AKA “Brilliant Bartender” Will Be a Contestant on Jeopardy

Old Orchard Beach, Maine is to have a contestant featured on the popular game show Jeopardy! According to wmtw.com. Dennis Coffey referred to on the Duffy’s Tavern & Grill Facebook page as “our brilliant bartender” will be a contestant on the show. A viewing party is scheduled for January 17 at 6 pm at the Old Orchard Beach location.

Not the first Maine contender as fans of the show will recall that Jessica Garsed, a librarian from Augusta, was on Jeopardy In October and had a slight winning streak taking home nearly $53,000 in prize money. If you can’t make it to the viewing party at Duffy’s Tavern & Grill, Jeopardy! can be seen on Channel 8 WMTW weeknights at 7:30 pm.

Cheer the New Englander on. I think bartenders have such a wealth of knowledge he’s gonna do great. I have watched this show with my son and wife and they always know the answers to such random questions. I still get Austria and Australia confused. Categories like sports I might do well at but not much else. “I’ll take ‘Great Books’ for 100 would be a fail for me.
