An air force veteran is doing something pretty amazing. According to the New York Daily News, Air Force veteran William Shuttleworth from Massachusetts has just started walking from his hometown of Newburyport and he plans to keep going until he reaches California - all on foot.

Homeboy is 71. I repeat, homeboy is 71 years old.

His plan is to walk 25 miles a day, according to the news source, so if you do the math he should be on the west coast in October of this year.

According to his website, Mr. Shuttleworth is calling this "Vets Don't Forget Vets."  Shuttleworth got the inspiration while in California after talking to homeless veterans. He is raising money for the Disabled American Veterans Association.

I gotta tell ya, anyone who puts their life on the line for this country should be taken care of for the rest of their lives. Personally, I don't believe we do enough for these people. It's just not right!

During his 3,000 mile trip, Shuttleworth plans to stop and talk to all the veterans he can along the way, the New York Daily News reported.

The article stated that he’s got a tent to sleep in and hopes “to engage people to make a difference” before he finishes up at Vandenberg Air Force Base this fall. Maybe hit his website and drop him a couple of dollars if you want to help him out.
