Are You Tough Enough? Want to Get Dirty? Tough Mudder Coming to NH
How Fit Are You?
I ate my way through the pandemic so this event is not for me but there is a Tough Mudder event coming and will be held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6, more information can be found on their website.
Why Would Anyone Do This?
The gratuitous picture above is of my wife when she completed one about 6 years ago. She loves this stuff. She grew up running in the woods and loves the obstacles and the dirt. Personally, I don’t like getting dirty not to mention that I can’t run a half-mile let alone 10. For those of you that enjoy this special type of torture, you have a choice of two courses. The classic is 10 miles and 25 obstacles and the shorter course of 3 Miles and 13 obstacles.
Restrictions are being lifted but precautions will be taken for the race
There are safety protocols for the Tough Mudder races in case you have COVID-19 concerns. This does look fun according to my wife. She says the best part is you get a free beer at the end but then I pointed out there is a race fee, so the beer is not REALLY free. You also get a really cool headband so you can brag to your friends about doing a Tough Mudder. From personal experience do you know how you know someone has run one of these races? Don’t worry, they tell you. Over and over. My wife never shuts up about it. For all the details check the Tough Mudder website while I comfortable sit in my beach chair.
