If you have a fire hydrant near your home or your business, you are being urged to make sure they are clear of any snow.

It's vitally important for local fire departments to have access to fire hydrants. So, please pick up your shovel and do your neighborhood a favor. Shovel out those hydrants. Check out this WMUR article on 'Adopt-a-Hydrant.'

State Fire Marshal Bill Degnan wrote a thank-you letter to residents he saw helping out local fire departments by making sure there was a clear pathway to fire hydrants.

I know we all have more than enough snow to shovel, but if you have an extra few minutes, I'm sure your local firefighters would be grateful.
