It's no secret that we have a loud and proud foodie population here in New England, and with good reason. Our restaurant industry is killing it, and there's never a shortage of new establishments opening their doors to the public. You can never run out of places to visit for your next dining experience, especially in Massachusetts.

When it comes to highlighting the best spots around, no one does a better job than LoveFood. From discussing the nation's top restaurants to sharing recipes, news, commentaries, and more, LoveFood is a foodie's digital paradise.

A while back, the site shared a list of the best burritos in all 50 states. After all, who can say no to a tortilla bursting with veggies, meat, and rice?

Taking the title for the Bay State's best burrito is the El Guapo, a star dish at El Pelón Taquería in Boston, Massachusetts.

With two locations on Peterborough Street and Commonwealth Ave, El Pelón Taquería is famous for their made-to-order street eats prepped with fresh produce, along with their house-made salsa.

But El Pelón particularly shines when it comes to their burritos. Specifically, the El Guapo. Here's how LoveFood described it:

The El Guapo burrito is the star dish, containing grilled steak, rice, black beans, fried plantains, Monterey Jack, salsa, romaine lettuce, and crema.

Sheesh, we're getting hungry already. And if the below photo isn't enough to convince you to give the El Guapo a try, perhaps this Facebook comment by a satisfied customer will do the trick:

There is NO WAY that this photo or any accompanying text could POSSIBLY do justice to the amazing flavor of the El Guapo.
I am completely serious: The aroma, the texture, the flavor, and the surge of satisfaction with every bite are almost comically cliché (After all, nothing could /actually/ be so good, right?)
Well, it can and it does. I don't know how they created this recipe, but the result is a level of contentment that I cannot quantitatively – or objectively – convey. – Craig Baker
