A weekend trip to New York City is so much fun especially when the weather warms up and you can really enjoy the city to it's fullest. The daunting part for me, especially with a little one, is the drive. Between the rush hour traffic leaving Boston, the hell scape that is the Merritt Parkway and then when you finally get to NYC you have to navigate parking. Who wants to deal?

I always think of taking the bus but you still endure all of the traffic and you could have to sit next to a stranger who eats ranch dressing out of a Tupperware container with a spoon. (that actually happened to me)

According to SecretNYC.com, Amtrak is doing something called their Northeast Winter Sale.

This sale offers travelers 30% Northeast Regional Coach and Acela Business Class for travel between February 1 - March 31, 2025.

I love traveling by train! I don't do it super often so the novelty of it has not warn off yet. It's exciting and feels very 1950's to me.

If you want to take advantage of these big savings, you must book on the Northeast Regional Coach or Acela Business Class.

How fast do the Amtrak trains go?

The Acela trains travel at a racing speed 150 mph and will get you to NYC in a cool 3 hours and 45 mins.

If you are feeling bougie the Acela Business Class not only gets you to your destination in record time, the legroom and reserved seats are such a treat!

Book here on the Amtrak site. (sale ends tonight, January 24th, at midnight)
