The FDA says if you have any food on the recall list, stop feeding it to your cat immediately.

The 'limited voluntary recall' affects certain lots of 9Lives, EverPet and Special Kitty canned cat food.

J.M. Smucker Company, the makers of the cat food announced the recall after their Quality Assurance team found possible low levels of thiamine, or Vitamin B1.

According to the FDA, thiamine is essential for cats and a deficiency can lead gastroinestinal or neurological problems. Early signs of thiamine deficiency can include decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, weight loss and more serious symptoms in advanced cases.
