COVID-19 is changing the way we do nearly everything, and changes are in effect at New Hampshire toll booths.

WMUR.com is reporting that between 5 am and 9 pm, you will need exact change if you are utilizing the cash lanes.

Toll-takers will no longer be able to make change which limits the exposure to both the customer and the toll-taker.

If you do not have the exact amount, you will have 7 days to pay the toll online or by phone, the news station reported. If the toll is not paid within 7 days, the registered owner of the vehicle will receive an invoice for the toll.

Now might be an excellent time to get an E-ZPass.

If you are traveling at night between the hours of 9pm and 5 am, cash lanes will be closed and E-ZPass lanes will be the only ones open.

According to WMUR.com, this policy will be in effect until further notice is given. It’s just one more way COVID-19 is changing our lives but the policy will protect both travels and toll-takers.
