New Hampshire Daughter’s Dream to Reconnect With Her Late Father’s 1937 Green Ford Comes True
New Hampshire Chelsea Hermann was on the hunt for her late father’s 1937 bright green Ford.
She was hoping to make it a part of her upcoming wedding, but it seemed like such a long shot.
Here's the crazy part. The car was found, is still intact, and still has the exact same color. Amazing!
Chelsea and I had exchanged a few messages about her hunt for the car before calling it a night on Thursday. Then, on Friday morning, a message came through from someone claiming the car had been located. It was only 5 a.m! I hadn’t even finished my first cup of coffee yet.
It almost didn’t feel real, especially knowing Chelsea just talked about the search with me the other night.
But this time, the rumors were true. It was real.
Chelsea confirmed the car’s current owner got in touch with her, and understandably, there were tears (lots of them). After weeks of searching for her late father’s passion project, the car he had built himself, she had finally found it.
As she told us, it really showed the power of social media.
The current owner of her father’s car is working closely with Chelsea and her family to bring it back to the Seacoast safely. With October quickly approaching, a few details still need to fall into place.
And that’s where this story takes another turn.
A call from Jay Baier of Baier Auto Transport. Jay shared that he felt an instant connection to Chelsea’s story because he had his grandfather’s 1931 Ford at his own wedding and couldn’t imagine not having it there.
So he offered to help bring her father’s car home.

Garret, my co-host, and I were in tears. We called Chelsea right away to surprise her, and what followed was so emotional and powerful.
From what seemed like an impossible task of finding a long-lost car to a miracle discovery, we all got to witness a little bit of magic.
And this story isn’t over yet.
