"Hallelujah!" exclaimed the movie, pizza & re-purposed limousine seating fans in the Queen City.

Finally!  Something is going in the former Lowes location at S. Willow & Huse Road- CHUNKY'S!

According to an article posted in Manchester Ink Link earlier today, Chunky’s Cinema Pub will be opening a 10-screen movie theater the vacant 707 Huse Road location.

This excites me for three reasons:

1) I grew up in the Plaistow/ Haverhill, MA area going to Chunky's as a kid so there's a sense of nostalgia I get from reading this.  Chunky's has been around that area since the mid 90's.

2) I currently live nearby Huse and S. Willow so it will be nice to see something replace an abandoned eyesore (which seems to do little more than house a bunch of tree trimming trucks?)

3) I'm a fan of the Chunky's franchise.  They had an original business idea years ago that has stood the test of time.  My first date was at the old Chunky's in Plaistow, NH.  My middle school love, Jen Crane.  We saw Twister when it was new.  Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt. Good times....

It's expected to open in early 2017, I'm psyched!
