Crazy True Conspiracy Predicts the Celtics to Win the 2022 Finals
"I am not superstitious, but I'm a little 'stitious" - Michael Scott - Logan Sherwood - Every Celtics fan after reading this.
To my Boston sports fans, I have the CRAZIEST piece of truth around the Boston Celtics winning the 2022 NBA Championship.
Why did I call it a "piece of truth" and not a stat? Well, because it is super unconventional.
But it is true.
Read that again.
The last year a Top Gun movie was released was in 1986. That same year, the Celtics won the NBA championship.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that a second Top Gun movie, Top Gun: Maverick, was just release this year (2022). And the Boston Celtics are in the finals...again.
So, could Tom Cruise and Top Gun be a good luck charm?
Can history repeat itself?
If you have the heebie-jeebies about that...here is an even weirder coincidence.
In that 1986 year, Top Gun was released, Celtics win championship, and the Eastern Conference standings were as followed:
1. Boston Celtics
2. Milwaukee Bucks
3. Philadelphia 76ers.
In this 2022 year, Top Gun: Maverick was released, the Celtics are in the NBA Championship, and excluding the Miami Heat in first, the Eastern Conference standings looked like this:
2. Boston Celtics.
3. Milwaukee Bucks
3. Philadelphia 76ers.
The years are virtually the same, with nearly the exact same top three teams in the Eastern Conference, identical orders, Tom Cruise's Top Gun films released...and Celtics in the finals.
Hopefully 2022 will have the same outcome as the 1986 finals.
Check this out, I'm not done.
I am not sure if it is Top Gun that is the good luck charm, or Tom Cruise.
In 2008, Tropic Thunder was released with Tom Cruise...the same year the Boston Celtics won their last NBA Championship.
