Demolition Begins Today On Dover’s Robbins Building
(Dover, NH) - Crews will begin at the rear of the block-long building, working forward toward Washington Street.

The demolition is expected to cause some traffic disruptions on Washington, Chestnut and Locust Streets over the next few weeks.

A new building will be constructed on the site, with ground level offices, storefronts and a restaurant with multiple housing units on the upper floors. The site plans call for the building to be set back further off Washington Street to allow for on-street parking and a reconstructed intersection of Washington and Chestnut Streets.

The historic Orpheum Theater sign will be preserved and either incorporated into the new building or donated to the Woodman Museum.
