According to a WCVB article, New England Aquarium’s director of rescue and rehabilitation said that the harbor porpoise in the Neponset River was not concerning...even though the public was certainly concerned.
According to experts at the New England aquarium, the porpoise was feeding and diving perfectly fine - there was no sign of distress for the animal.
Further, it is common for porpoises to explore alone - so nothing to worry about! Just another unique animal we got to see on our beautiful coastline.
