Erin Andrews Awarded $55 Million in Nude Recording Lawsuit
Andrews won the suit against West End Partners and Windsor Capital Group
According to People Magazine Erin Andrews will receive a $55 million settlement in her court battle over being recorded while nude at the Nashville Marriott in 2008.
During her testimony Andrews said "I think about it every day, one of the worst thoughts I have is when I walk around a stadium ... there's always that thought, as I walk right by the stands, and I think, 'My God, everyone in this stadium has seen that video.' "
Andrews won the suit against the franchise owner West End Partners as well as the Windsor Capital Group which is the company that manages the hotel. She also sued the man who photographed her through a peephole, Michael Barrett.
Barrett, a former delivery truck driver, has already served prison time and pleaded guilty to stalking in 2009. He testified that the only reason why he did it was to gain financial income for the video and stated he was "not proud" of it.
Prosecutors brought in a forensic computer expert who went testified that an estimated 16.8 million people have seen the video.
