Fenway Park Has Some Of the Grossest Bathrooms In Major League Baseball
You've downed a burger, nachos, and a maybe even an expensive beer at Fenway Park. Now, um...about the bathrooms.
You've gotta go. Reeeeallly got to go. Waiting until you get to a nearby restaurant isn't going to cut it. Plus, it's only the 7th, and it's starting to look like this could be an extra innings game. Cue doom music (dud da duuuuhhh)
You have to use a bathroom at Fenway.
According to Seatgeek.com, Fenway’s bathrooms were ranked 29th out of the 30 ballparks in the league. But really, is it entirely Fenway's fault? I mean, the park is over a hundred years old. According to the survey, six of the bottom ranked are among the oldest ballparks in the league.
In their defense, Red Sox spokeswoman Zineb Curran told Boston.com that the team is “committed to providing patrons with a great experience when visiting Fenway Park, which includes clean and well maintained restrooms.”
Oh, and the stadium which considers Fenway bathrooms an upgrade? RingCentral Coliseum, the current home of the Oakland Athletics. You know, the place with a history of sewage problems.
