He's a Pats fan who was in attendance at the Super Bowl and believes he may bring some good luck to this weekend's AFC Divisional Playoff game at Foxborough.

Scotty McCreery, who will be performing the Star Spangled Banner of the 4:35pm game on Saturday, explains how he acquired his love of the Patriots.

“My dad, who was raised in New England, instilled a love of the New England Patriots in me from birth,” McCreery says in a press release. “I was at the Super Bowl last year when they won — maybe that makes me their good luck charm. I cannot wait to sing in Gillette Stadium and then cheer the Patriots on to another victory!”

The American Idol winner's biography (dude, you're 22) is set to be released in May and a new album is in the works as well. Find out more from our friends at TheBoot.com.

And are the Pats going to win this weekend? Yeah, I'm feelin' it.
