Get Ready for the Penguin Plunge to Help NH Special Olympics
Are you brave enough to take the Penguin Plunge?
This weekend Hampton Beach will be the location for the Penguin Plunge where people go swimming in the icy Atlantic Ocean, not just for fun but a great cause.
Fosters.com reported the event will honor the 50th anniversary year of the Special Olympics Games in New Hampshire.
What better way to celebrate than by taking a dip dressed like Elvis!
The theme this year will be “Nifty Fifties," according to Fosters. Maybe you can find a wetsuit that has an attached poodle skirt?
Judges will be on hand from WMUR TV this year to pick the award for the best costume.
The Penguin Plunge will take place just across from the Casino Ballroom at noon this Sunday, Feb 2. This is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the Special Olympics and its worth a bit of freeze for such a fantastic cause.
Take a dip and get inside right after! Stay warm!
