Gov. Sununu Says These Groups Can Get the Vaccine Next
On Tuesday night, Governor Sununu appeared on WMUR and he ran down the Phases of who can and can't get the vaccine.
Right now, we are in Phase 1A and that will last through January.
Phase 1A focuses on high risk health care workers and long term care residents, according to WMUR, and also included in this phase is first responders.
Phase 1B will begin this January and run through March and that phase includes anyone 75 years old and older, the news station reported. Also in this phase are people with high risk medical conditions, staff and residents of homes for adults with developmental disabilities and corrections officers.
The next phase, 2A will run from March to May and will include anyone 65 - 74 and school teachers, staff and child care workers, according to WMUR.
Looks like my siblings will be able to get the vaccine in Phase 2B that will run from March to May that will include people ages 50-65.
Phase 3A begins in May includes medically vulnerable people, 3B is everybody else, which is me. I'm the baby of the big Irish clan.
So, by May, we should all be eligible for the vaccine and that, for me, is great news. I know there have been medical people who have not taken the vaccine and I very much want to talk to them. Why aren't they? Do they know something that we don't? It DOES give me pause. These are medical professionals, right? Why would they say no to the vaccine? It's SO SCARY right now, isn't it?
Let's just hope we can all get back to normal soon.
