Penguin Plunge Hampton, New Hampshire, 2025:
February 9, 2025, is the 26th annual Penguin Plunge for the Special Olympics of New Hampshire.
Every year participants from around the seacoast jump into the freezing cold ocean in mid-February to raise money for the Special Olympics.

According to the Penguin Plunge website, participants have to be a minimum of 15 years old to participate.
Is it safe to swim in the ocean in New Hampshire in the winter?
There is no need to be nervous about the penguin plunge in Hampton, NH. There are medical professionals and volunteers spread between the beach and the water.
Plus, participants choose how far they go into the water...or if they fully submerge or not.
