Hey Maine and New Hampshire! You Still Have Time To Join Cycle The Seacoast 2021
It's become one of the best community events of the year for the Seacoast. The annual Cycle the Seacoast with the American Lung Association. People from all over the Northeast take part, and this year has extra-special meaning. You may already know that the American Lung Association supports millions of people with lung diseases, like COPD, asthma, and lung cancer — the #1 cancer killer in the United States. But this past year, COVID has been added to the list. COVID-19 is, of course, a respiratory virus that affects the lungs, and the American Lung Association has launched a 25 million dollar initiative to end COVID-19. This is where YOU come in with the virtual Cycle the Seacoast event!
People from all over New Hampshire, Maine, and New England are signing up to raise money by cycling their way!
From the Cycle The Seacoast Website:
- Challenge yourself to complete the mileage of your choice (25, 50, or 100 miles or more!) by June 30th! Do it at your own pace; get those miles in over the course of a week or two, even a month (or more) if needed. You can follow the Cycle the Seacoast route maps (below), one of our sample routes, or choose your own route! You can even do the event on your stationary bike in the comfort of your own home!
You need to get your mileage done by June 30th. You've still got time to join in on this fun and important event. We are just over the $50,000 mark of the $100,000 goal. The weather is finally getting nice, and you can cycle at your own rate, with your own route! The entry fee is $25, and there is a $200 fundraising minimum. So get some of your buddies together, and let's do this!
