Believe it or not, dogs can catch the flu, just like their two-legged best friends. According to Business Insider, many states are reporting a high number of dog flu or, canine influenza cases.

Canine influenza is very, very contagious to other dogs. The good news is that experts say it cannot be spread to humans.

Just like with people, the common symptoms in dog flu are frequent coughing, nasal discharge and sneezing. Keep an eye on your dogs, especially if they come into frequent contact with other animals.

It's always best to check-in with your vet's office if you think your pup may be sick.
