A story of love, honesty, and community has come out of Thomaston, Maine recently. Grab your tissues because this is going to hit all of your feels.

After a 4-year-old boy visited Walmart, he noticed that he had misplaced his special Spider-Man wallet filled with his very own hard-earned money.

His family posted about the unfortunate loss on a local Facebook group, hoping someone may have found it. The response was immediate and extremely overwhelming.

Dozens of kind strangers offered to send money to replace what the young boy lost via Venmo. However, the father, Ryan, kindly declined, hoping that the wallet would resurface instead.

A Small Act of Honesty, a Giant Leap for Humanity

And get this: hope is still alive and kicking because miraculously, another 4 year old boy found it! Are you crying yet? Me too.

Local mom, Jordan Moore, posted in the same group with a photo of her young boy holding the wallet, saying:

"I saw a post a couple days ago about a hard working 4 year old boy who had saved up his money but then misplaced his Spider Man wallet... It just so happens my 4 year old boy spotted it in the toy section today with the money still inside.. We had returned it to customer service"

This is Jordan's son after finding the wallet in the toy section, eager to return it.

It was intact with every single dollar still inside. The relief and love felt from both families was overwhelming and spoke to the strong moral fiber in this small child. Kindness does prevail, and we can all learn a lot from this. The proud young boy's parent said,

"My boys wallet was found by a super cool little dude and was turned into the front desk. Thank you so much to that young man and his parents. You made one very happy young man, who I just spoke to on the phone, and by his own suggestion, would like to reward the young man who found his wallet."

This is one of those beautiful reminders that compassion, along with integrity, come from the youngest among us.

Get this: the boys, Stetson and Cooper, met in person last night and had ice cream together! Not only are they now best buds, but Stetson used his hard-earned money to buy himself and Cooper Ninja Turtles to play with together!
