💲 A $3 million Mega Millions ticket winner was won by a New Hampshire player in August

💲 It's been five years since a Powerball jackpot was won in the Granite State

For the third time in three months, a Powerball or Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold in New Hampshire in Saturday night's Powerball drawing.

The numbers drawn were: 19, 29, 63, 68 and Powerball 25. The Power Play was 2X.

The winning ticket was sold at T-Bird Mini Mart on West Street in Keene, according to Lottery spokeswoman Maura McCann. Another $40,662 in prizes were won via retail tickets and the online platform, NH iLottery, ranging from $4 to $200.

If the winner is holding a paper ticket, the lottery recommends the winner sign their ticket and keep it in safe place before taking it to lottery headquarters.

The annuity value of the jackpot for the game's next drawing Monday increases to $522 million with a cash value of $252.4 million. The jackpot has been growing since July 19 when a California player won a $1 billion jackpot.

Past New Hampshire Winners

In the run-up to the billion dollar jackpot winner, a New Hampshire Powerball player at Valueland Food Store in Center Ossipee won $1 million in the July 19 drawing.

A Mega Millions ticket sold at Jake’s Market & Deli in New London was worth $3 million in the August 18. It matched the five white numbers drawn, but not the Mega Ball. The ticket holder also played the Megaplier, which upped its worth.

The Powerball jackpot has been won 11 times in New Hampshire, with the most recent winner in 2018. The Good Karma Family 2018 Nominee Trust claimed an annuity jackpot of $559.7 million prize and opted for a one-time cash payment of $264 million after federal taxes.

The first and most recent Mega Millions jackpot winner from New Hampshire was in 2019, when a winning ticket was played at the Brookside Market & Deli in Exeter. The Just as B4 Nominee Trust of 2019, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, chose the one-time cash prize of $108.5 million.
