A New York State teen operating a personal watercraft died after being rear-ended by a second craft on Crescent Lake in Wolfeboro Sunday morning.

The New Hampshire State Police Marine Unit said jet skis were being used by two teens in the northern end of the lake near the channel to Lake Wentworth around 11 a.m. It appears one rear-ended the other, causing significant damage, according to State Police investigators.

A boater got the injured operator onto their boat and began performing CPR. The boater then met first responders at the boat ramp, and who continued the efforts. The teen was taken to Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro where they were pronounced dead, according to State Police.

The other operator was not injured in the crash. They are also from New York State.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Police asked anyone with information to call 603-227-2117.
