The Undercover Way Jennifer Lawrence is All Over Boston Right Now
This is absolutely genius and we all need to put some respect on Jennifer Lawrence's name and the producers of her new movie.
Jennifer Lawrence in Boston
J-Law is no stranger to Boston. In fact, during the height of the pandemic between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021, she spent a good amount of time in Boston and surrounding cities filming the Netflix original movie Don't Look Up.
Fast forward to March 2023, when she's technically back in Boston and in multiple locations. The best, most savage, most respectably genius part? She's all over the city and you've probably walked right by and had no idea.
New Jennifer Lawrence Movie
Over the weekend, the trailer for Jennifer Lawrence's brand new movie, No Hard Feelings, began airing in theaters. For as hilarious as Jennifer is, it's crazy to think that this is her very first full-on comedy movie.
The whole plotline for the movie follows Jennifer's character, Maddie, who is all about the physical portion of relationships or friendships (thrive, Queen, thrive) and works as an Uber driver. One problem -- her car gets repossessed.
Enter the whole point of the movie -- she finds an ad put out by a mother and father who are trying to get their quiet and introverted son, Percy, a little more "life experience" in "dating" during the summer following his high school graduation and before he's shipped off to college.
What does Maddie get out of the deal? A free car -- a 2004 Buick Regal.
Free Car Signs in Boston
Which brings us to the genius way Jennifer is in Boston right now. Because physically, she isn't actually in the city. But what is physically all over Boston are signs hung on street poles, light poles, and everywhere else, offering a free car to anyone that will "date" a "smart, but socially very shy" son.
Sound familiar? Genius. Absolutely genius.
No Hard Feelings hits theaters on Friday, June 23 according to IMDb.
