If you’ve ever watched Cops and thought “hey, I could do that!”, now may be your chance.   Bedford Police are looking for people to join their Citizens Police Academy.    According to bedfordnhpd.org, the department is looking for Bedford, NH residents to take part in the ten week program.

What does the course consist of?  Chief John J. Bryfonski says that participants will “be exposed to ….every aspect of police work including patrol operations, criminal investigations, forensic and crime scene techniques and more.”

If this sounds interesting to you and you’re a resident or business owner in Bedford, the academy starts on March 24th.   Participants will spend two nights a week over the course of ten weeks learning about public safety service and what goes in to keeping the community safe.

How much does this all cost?   Bryfonski tells bedfordnhpd.org that it’s free to participate, but space is limited.  If this is right up your alley, you can stop by the Safety Complex at 55 Constitution Drive in Bedford and fill out an application.  You must be 18 years old to participate.
