It's certainly not the stupidest thing I've done, but it ranks in the Top 20!  I came into Studio Big this morning and told Mark I forgot my phone at home.  Since I don't live that far away from the station, he let me go home to get it.  Well, I got home, searched everywhere that I could have left it, (even in the fridge) until I poured out the contents of my purse.  It was stuck in my wallet.  I had to fess up to Mark and wait for the 'Wrath of Ericson!'  The plus side? I got to stop at Dunkin's for a coffee!

Algeria Plane Missing
A flight operated by Air Algerie has disappeared from radar while traveling from Burkina Faso in West Africa to Algiers. Authorities say it was carrying 110 passengers and six crew when air navigation services lost track of the Swiftair plane 50 minutes after takeoff earlier this morning. Swiftair is a Spanish private airline. The plane had been missing for hours before it was made public. The plane's flight path passes over Mali, where unrest continues in the north.

Police Officers Fired
Two Seabrook police officers caught on tape roughing up a suspect at police headquarters have been fired and two others punished. Foster's Daily Democrat reports officers Mark Richardson and Adam Laurent were fired. Richardson has also been charged with assault in connection with the 2009 encounter at the Seabrook police station.

Maine Gov Wants SNAP Recipients To Work
Governor Paul LePage wants to require food stamp recipients to work while receiving benefits. The Republican governor's administration says Maine will no longer pursue a waiver from the federal government that allows recipients in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to receive ongoing benefits without having a job.
