Maybe it's because he's married to a Hollywood starlet and has a stylist on speed dial or maybe he just likes to switch up his look every now and then. Whatever the reason, Keith Urban has gone through many hairstyles over the years.

Let's go all the way back in 2001...

He was named Top New Male Vocalist at the 2001 ACM's and was honored with the 2001 CMA Horizon Award.

Skip ahead one year to 2002:

Keith's hair was a bit longer and more of a golden hue.

Here he is in 2007, when he released his first greatest hits collection.

This 'do' is the style I like on him. Throw a few blonde high/low lights in there and we're good to go!

Fast forward to 2014 when he cut it all off.

No Keith! Say it isn't so, grow it back, baby.

And just last month at the Academy Awards with Mrs.Urban aka Nicole Kidman

It looks like Nicole didn't like the short hairstyle either.
