Landmark Restaurant in Boston Closing Down after 192 Years of Business
An iconic restaurant in Boston that has been around since way before you were born is closing its doors later this month.
Durgin Park, in historic Faneuil Hall will serve its last meal on January 12th, after being in business since 1827. According to WCVB in Boston, a spokesman for Arc Restaurants, which operates Durgin Park said the closure was 'due to declining revenues and expenses that keep growing.'
Michael Weinstein, the CEO or Arc Restaurants also said other factors weighed in on the decision to close, including many new restaurants that are popping up in the Seaport District.
Durgin Park was definitely a one-of-a-kind restaurant. I'll miss their famous Boston Baked Beans and their delicious Yankee Pot Roast.
