Limits Placed on How Many Customers Enter Market Basket Stores
Reporting from seacoastonline.com says that the popular grocery chain Market Basket announced on Wednesday that they will limit the number of customers in the stores at any given time. The statement released goes on to say, to support the important public health goal of social distancing.” Market Basket is hoping to provide a safe shopping experience for its customers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Market Basket has implemented numerous new policies in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak such as heightened disinfection program with a focus on high touch surfaces such as touchpads, cash registers, red baskets, shopping carts, register belts, drawer handles, phones and computers. They are also encouraging the associates to practice good hygiene with frequent hand washing and maintaining social distancing guidelines.
Market Basket had earlier adopted an over 60 shopping hour three days a week, but that time has been bumped up to daily from 6 am to 7 am. We are all in this together. It’s up to us to practice social distancing while shopping.
