Toddler mom's unite! I found a new place for us to bring our little ones.

Aside from Ms. Rachel and Bluey, my daughter's latest obsession is sand. Every time we visit Rye Beach, she makes a beeline for the shoreline, happily digging, scooping, and filling buckets for what feels like hours.

So when I heard New Hampshire was getting its very first indoor sand play space, I was sold before I even finished reading. Beach vibes... without the sunblock, sunburn, & seagulls? Sign me up!

Little Dunes, located in North Hampton, officially opened their doors on July 24th and is introducing a beach-inspired experience families can enjoy no matter the season. Rainy day? Snowstorm? Heat wave? According to Little Dunes, "Whether it's a rainy Tuesday, a blazing hot afternoon, or the middle of January, the sand is always here."

The climate-controlled play space was created with children of all ages and abilities in mind and offers a relaxed environment where little ones can dig, build, explore, and let their imaginations take over.

To help keep families comfortable, the owners also say weekend sessions are intentionally capped to prevent overcrowding, and the facility uses continuous Far-UVC sanitation technology alongside daily cleaning.

So, the chances of our little ones picking up germs are less likely because of the routines they've put in place. As a mom, that's a win in my book.

Side note- they take pride in the sand they use, using "Baha Play Sand from Calcean, nature's renewable sand from the ocean. It's silica-free, non-toxic and renewable oolitic aragonite (it naturally percipitates in the ocean). They are in compliance with Children's product safety standards".

I'll admit, I've always been a little hesitant about public sandboxes because you never really know what's in them. Knowing Little Dunes has put so much thought into the sand they use definitely gives me extra peace of mind.

Admission is $20 per child, while adults always play for free. Families can also purchase memberships if they plan to visit often. How cool is that?

I have a feeling we'll be digging into Little Dunes long before the fall rolls around.
