Looking for a New Summer Drink? Try “Loverboy” hard tea, by NH Native Kyle Cook

If you are feeling thirsty look no further than the latest creation of sparkling hard teas branded ‘Loverboy’ made by Kyle Cooke.  Kyle, who is one of the cast members on the Bravo TV Show ‘Summer House’ has launched his new beverage.  Even if you don’t watch ‘Summer House’ on Bravo you might know Kyle Cooke from regularly hanging out at his cousin’s surf shop, ‘Summer Sessions’ in Rye according to seacoastonline.com.  ‘Summer House’ is a show that features young people hanging out mostly in the Hamptons.  Now seemed like a good time for Kyle Cooke to launch his new beverage, the creation of which was featured in some episodes of his Bravo show.

The 90-calorie, no sugar sparking hard tea is a hit according to Cooke.  His company describes the brew as “Carbonated like seltzer, but with a light refreshing taste of an ice tea, Loverboy marries the perfect balance of organic brewed tea, botanicals, and monk fruit, with gluten-free alcohol to create a keto-friendly 4.2 ABV drink you can sip all day and night.”  Wow, that’s like the longest drink description I think I have ever read.  There are three flavors, according to seacoastonline.com.  White Tea Peach, Hibiscus Pom, and Lemon Iced Tea.

Cooke is a big proponent of a healthy lifestyle and likes to eat clean during the week and let loose on the weekends. Cooke claims that without the sugar, you won’t get a hangover.  Sadly, due to Covid-19 restrictions in the New Hampshire area, he could not host the launch party he wanted to.  And his annual reunion trip to Rye Beach with his extended family was canceled.  There is always next year.  If you are looking to try it out, you can grab one at Gary’s Beverage stores in Portsmouth or at On the Vine in Exeter.  They also carry it at Sandpiper Country Store and Summer Sessions on Rye Beach.
