Manchester New Hampshire Woman to Represent USA at Paralympic Games
Never Give Up
Noelle Lambert will be headed to Tokyo this summer to represent the USA in Track & Field at the Paralympics. Her first-place finish at the Paralympic trials in Minneapolis secured her spot on the team, according to wmur.com. She competes in the 100-meter dash, the news station reported.
Long Road to Recovery
For Noelle, it’s been a long journey to this point. She was a division 1 lacrosse player before a moped accident on Martha’s Vineyard took her leg, according to WMUR.
She tells wmur.com “If someone told me that this happened to me and I would be going to the Tokyo Paralympics just five years after my accident, I wouldn’t have believed them.”
It sounds like Lambert has a fantastic attitude.
Born to Run Foundation
Training keeps any athlete busy but for Noelle, well, she also has a strong desire to give back and inspire other amputees. She founded a foundation Born to Run to help other young amputees to keep striving to reach their own dreams, according to WMUR.
She is truly proof that attitude is everything. While she heads over to Tokyo to compete this summer it sadly will be without her family watching from the stands due to pandemic restrictions. We all know they will be cheering her on from Manchester.
All of New Hampshire will be cheering Noelle Lambert! As Adrian told Rocky in the Rocky Movie, Win, just Win Noelle. We are all behind you.
Enjoy the experience and stay safe over in Japan. You have inspired me to keep up with my walking routine. Never Give Up!
