MWC Daily: Coldest Weather of the Season
We're dealing with the coldest weather of the season, so make sure you have plenty of wood for the fireplace today if you and your kids are on February vacation.
Temps aren't expected to get out of the teens today and even thought it's not expected to be as cold tonight as it was Monday evening, it's still going to be very cold. Please make sure you bring pets indoors and check on neighbors and the elderly.

Partly to mostly sunny skies will give way to increasing cloudiness in the afternoon, high 16. Variable amounts of sun and clouds in the North Country, high 11. Look for 1-3 inches of snow tonight along the immediate seacoast. Check your 5-day forecast.

WMUR Meteorologist, Kevin Skarupa tweeted the following this morning. Concord broke a record, while Portsmouth tied one.

GOP divided on Homeland Security bill
Divided Republicans are trying to find their way out of an impasse over immigration that could lead to the shutdown of the Homeland Security Department after a Friday midnight deadline. Senate Democrats have on four occasions stopped a House-approved bill from advancing. It would fund the department but also block President Barack Obama's execution actions on immigration. Now Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he'll split the immigration language from the funding part of the bill.
Rubio in Granite State
Senator Marco Rubio is wrapping up a two-day trip to New Hampshire as he eyes a potential presidential run in 2016. The Florida Republican is scheduled to speak this morning at a "Politics and Eggs" forum at St. Anselm College in Manchester.
Gas prices on the rise
Gas prices have gone up nearly 5 cents per gallon in the past week to an average of $2.23. Gasbuddy.com says that's 7 cents less than the national average, which went up 4.7 cents last week to $2.29 a gallon.
