Hoping for good black box data
France's transport minister says experts have begun the attempt to retrieve what could be vital information from a badly damaged cockpit voice recorder from the Germanwings airliner that crashed in the French Alps, killing 150 people. The official says the first priority will be the voices and conversations in the cockpit. The plane was on a flight from Spain to Germany. Helicopters and searchers are on the mountain.

Tanker truck crash shuts down Bourne Rotary, Bridge
A gasoline tanker truck that overturned and spilled part of its cargo at the Bourne Rotary has been removed, but traffic in the area remains tightly restricted. Massachusetts State police are warning motorists to avoid the still-closed rotary and Bourne Bridge this morning.The tanker carrying approximately 11,500 gallons of fuel tipped over at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Fire displaces mother, children
An apartment fire has displaced a mother and her two children and sent another relative to the hospital for smoke inhalation in Rochester. Fire officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire.
