One Marine killed; 9 others hurt
One Marine has been killed and 9 others were hurt when a helicopter made a hard landing at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Capt. Ryan Elizabeth Alvis said in a statement that the CH-53E helicopter came down hard during a training exercise around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

WTC artifact delivered to Portsmouth
A beam from the WTC wreckage made its way to Portsmouth yesterday. The eleven-hundred pound artifact arrived Wednesday afternoon under police escort. It will become the centerpiece for a permanent memorial in Portsmouth for those who died on 9/11
