US, Cuban officials meet
President Raul Castro could be one of the Cuban officials sitting down today with members of a visiting U.S. congressional delegation in Havana. The U.S. delegation is led by Sen. Patrick Leahy, who played a key role in the release of American contractor Alan Gross. Leahy and five other Democratic senators and representatives are trying to convey to Cuban officials that their future actions will influence Congressional openness to President Barack Obama's reforms.
Many who leave NH prisons eligible for health care coverage
Nearly 90 percent of those leaving New Hampshire's prison system are eligible for health care coverage under the state's expanded Medicaid program. While they make up a small fraction of the more than 30,000 who have signed up so far, health and corrections officials say getting them enrolled could have far-reaching effects.
Solar panel project in Plymouth
An empty lot in Plymouth has been turned into one of the largest solar panel projects in the state. The 121-kilowatt system is projected to generate a quarter of the annual electric needs of the Plymouth Village Water & Sewer District. It's expected to help with the electric bill, which last year totaled nearly $70,000.
