Biden talks about Supreme Court nominee
Vice President Joe Biden says President Barack Obama is looking to nominate a Supreme Court candidate who's been supported by Republicans in the past. Republicans have threatened to block any action on an Obama nominee, and instead want the next president to nominate a replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia, who died last week. Biden tells Minnesota Public Radio today that "there are plenty of judges" who seemingly fit the criteria that the White House has established.

Teacher accused of assault  
A 52-year-old Manchester teacher is accused of assaulting a student. Police say Anita Lemay is accused of knocking candy out of the hand of a student last month after the 14-year-old boy allegedly caused a disturbance in class while eating it and refused to listen to her. Lemay is facing a charge of simple assault.
