You can help Fish and Game officials in your state monitor the number of wild turkey, simply by reporting the birds you see in your area.

It's called a Brood Survey and New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine, among other states are asking residents for help in estimating the number of wild turkeys.

The survey, which began on June 1, will run through August 31st. It helps wildlife officials determine how many of the young birds survive into adulthood.
