New Hampshire Beer Trail: How It Works + Best Stops
I'm a sucker for a good local craft beer and I can't believe that I just missed Pint Days here in NH. You've probably heard about the Kentucky Bourbon Trail but, I just went down a little rabbit hole on something called the New Hampshire Beer Trail.
and immediately thought…
yeah, I need to do this.
Because if you’re anything like me and you love local craft beer… this is basically built for people like us.
So What Is It?
It’s not really a “trail” like hiking boots and backpacks.
It’s more like a passport for breweries across New Hampshire. You grab this guidebook from the New Hampshire Brewers Assoc. and it gives you access to 60+ breweries around the state.
Every spot you go, you get a stamp… and usually some kind of deal (like half off a couple beers).
So now instead of just saying,
“Hey, let’s grab a beer…”
You’re like,
“Alright… where are we going today?”
This Is Where It Gets Fun
Because you can actually build your day around it.
You start in Dover
Begin your adventure at The Thirsty Moose Taphouse
Then make your way over to Garrison City Beer Works
Finish things up at Empty Pint Brewing Company
Then up the Seacoast:
Pop into Loaded Question Brewing Company
Then slide over to Stoneface Brewing Co.
Maybe wrap it up at Earth Eagle Brewings
Next thing you know… it’s not just “a beer”… it’s a whole afternoon.
Or Take It Up North
This is the one I keep thinking about.
Drive up toward the White Mountains—
Hit Schilling Beer Co. right on the river
Then make your way to Tuckerman Brewing Company
Throw in a hike… maybe some food… stay the night…
Now it’s a weekend.
It’s also the places you don’t expect.
Kettlehead Brewing Company
Deciduous Brewing Company
Branch and Blade Brewing Company
You walk in and immediately think, how have I not been here before?

Why This Feels So New Hampshire.
It’s not just about the beer.
It’s:
- Sitting outside with a pint after being outside all day
- Talking to people at the bar like you’ve known them forever
- Finding those little spots that just feel local
I thought this was just another “beer thing”…
but the more I look at it, this is really just a way to explore the entire state with a cold drink in your hand.
I’m already planning my first stop.
