This New Hampshire City Is a Great Place to Retire If You Love to Travel
Investopedia recently highlighted nine retirement destinations around the country that offer convenient airport access for people who want to travel frequently.
Manchester, New Hampshire, made the list.

When you think about the best places in America to retire, your mind might immediately go somewhere warm.
Florida. Arizona. Maybe somewhere along the Carolina coast.

This isn't the first time Manchester has caught Investopedia's attention.
The publication previously included Manchester among its 100 Best Places to Retire in America, considering factors including affordability, healthcare, taxes, amenities and overall quality of life.

Now Manchester is being singled out for another advantage: it's really easy to get to an airport.
For those of us who live in New Hampshire, that might not seem like a huge deal.
Until you think about retirement.
If you've finally got the time to travel, visit your kids and grandkids or escape New England for a few weeks in February, living near an airport suddenly becomes a pretty nice perk.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Is Just Minutes Away
The airport offers nonstop service to around a dozen destinations through several airlines, including American, JetBlue, Southwest and United.
And if you need a flight somewhere MHT doesn't serve, Boston Logan is roughly an hour away.
So you get the convenience of a smaller regional airport close to home while still having access to a major international airport within driving distance.

Would Airport Access Matter to You?
I hadn't really considered airport access as something you'd put on a retirement checklist.
But the more I think about it, the more sense it makes.
If retirement means finally having the freedom to travel whenever you want, living 15 minutes from an airport sounds pretty good.
And when you combine that with everything else we have here in New Hampshire, maybe Manchester deserves a little more consideration than it normally gets.
