There are a ton of places in New Hampshire where you can check out pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.  You can see a LOT of pumpkins all in one space and there is usually more going on than just pumpkins, but the focus is definitely on October's favorite squash.

Milford Pumpkin Festival

October 9, 10 & 11, 2026

Besides pumpkins every where you look around the Oval in Milford, there are activities for the kids, live music, cider donuts and good old New England fun.  This is a whole family event, but there are things just for the adults like a beer and wine tasting on Friday and Saturday night.

Keene Pumpkin Festival

October 17, 2026 (One Day Only)

Back in 2013, Keene broke the Guiness World record for the most lit Jack O'Lanterns on display.  More than 30,000 pumpkins all over the city.  Wow!  Some time after that, the festival ran into a bit of trouble when the City would not approve the permit for the event.  I think people got unruly, etc.  After a couple years of no pumpkins, they started back up again.

Goffstown Pumpkin Festival and Regatta

October 17 & 18, 2026

Little tiny Goffstown really shines in October when giant pumpkins take over Main Street, beginning with the Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off.  It's a two day festival that ends with hollowed out giant pumpkins are filled with costumed paddlers that race down the Piscataquog River.  The event started small, but now draws thousands of visitors.  It's wicked fun.  You should check it out.

Laconia Pumpkin Festival

October 23 & 24, 2026

When Keene took a hiatus from the pumpkins, Laconia heard the call and answered.  Their festival is huge and must have taken some tips from Keene.  The scafolding that the pumpkins sit upon look the same as Keene had them.  We love that, so good on you, Laconia.  Now the City is known for Bike Week and Pumpkins.

These are some of my favorite events in New Hampshire.  Get out and enjoy!
