NH Approves Second Medical Marijuana Cultivation Site
(Manchester, NH) - The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services has issued a conditional registration certificate to Temescal Wellness to begin cultivating theraputic cannibis at it's center in Manchester.
Temescal is the second alternative treatment center to gain Departmental approval to begin therapeutic cannabis cultivation. Earlier in January, DHHS granted a conditional registration certificate to Sanctuary ATC to begin operations at its
cultivation center in Rochester.
In addition to the cultivation location, Temescal Wellness will also operate dispensaries in Dover and Lebanon. Temescal must complete an initial therapeutic cannabis cultivation cycle before DHHS can inspect the dispensing locations in order to confirm they are ready to open.
Once the dispensary locations have passed inspection, DHHS will issue Temescal a registration certificate without conditions to dispense therapeutic cannabis to qualifying patients and designated caregivers who have registered with either the Dover or Lebanon dispensary. The expected timeframe for Temescal’s dispensaries to begin operations is Spring 2016.
The Therapeutic Cannabis Program being implemented by DHHS will include four dispensary locations and three cultivation centers. Applications for potentially qualifying patients and designated caregivers, medical provider certification, and other important information can be found on the Therapeutic Cannabis Program page on the DHHS website at http://www.dhhs.nh.gov/oos/tcp/index.htm.
