NH Police Warn Drivers They Need to Do This When It Rains
Sometimes you need a reminder for the simple things:
I'm glad I'm not the only one who needs a reminder to do this. The NH State Police had a lot of comments on their Facebook page like:
- If not a state law should be
- Manufacturers should just make an automatic feature in all automobiles. Wipers go on, so do the headlights automatically.
- Cruise control OFF unless you like the idea of hydroplaning.
- I've never understood why people DRIVE with PARKING lights on. It's very confusing and dangerous....smhI believe the law should be written to state when wipers are needed....so are the headlights. Many states require this.....fair warning when travelling.
- I always do (difficult for truck drivers to see smaller vehicles in their mirrors without them on)
- It would be nice to see some of the local Town cops use the headlights also... I've seen several that don't
- Drove through heavy downpours a few days ago. It was amazing how many people put their hazards on, moved to the left lane, slowed to 25 mph, but never turned on their headlights. And no, drls do not count as headlights. Will their ever be a discussion about revising the written exam
- Gotta do it folks. No one can see you from behind without your tail end lighted up! Be safe out there.
- More people need to be reminded of this. Thank you
