According to WCVB, plaintiffs in North Carolina have reportedly won their case against the Dish Network for violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which eventually led to the establishment of a "Do Not Call" registry.
It's important to note these aren't recent harassments. The calls had to have taken place between May 2010 to August 2011. The case is talking big numbers, with 18,000 listed in the case. As reported by 9 News, In 2014, Thomas Krakauer sued Dish Network for making illegal telemarketing calls to his phone number, which was on the do-not-call list.
